Whilst the culture towards, and the use of data, has been gradually changing among Civil Society organisations, the potential of data, particularly data that is made available for others to compare and learn from, or data that could be used as evidence to inform voluntary organisations’ decision making is still untapped. In this session, we will be presenting existing examples of open source tools, provide examples of how open source data has helped charitable organisations, and we will be discussing some of the aspects underlying the set-up of such systems and processes for data sharing, what it means in practice for organisations to be able to share their data and triangulate it with other datasets. Speakers include Rosario Piazza, Principal, NPC; Tracey Gyateng; Jo Kerr, Director of Impact and Innovation, Turn2us; Billy Wright, Non Executive Director, Brevio.

If this session has raised a question that you want an answer to, get in touch with NPC on social media (don’t forget to mention which session you were watching): @Rosariop_npc, @NPCthinks, #NPCIgnites.
