EthicAI=LABS website

EthicAI is a project exploring the intersections of artificial intelligence and ethics from the perspective of technology, art, philosophy, law etc. We aim to drive a multidisciplinary discourse on the development of AI. In the first workshop of the program we focus on Linguistics together with three experts from SEE:

🎤Dr. PreslavNakov(BG) is a Principal Scientist at the Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), HBKU , where he leads the Tanbihmega-project (developed in collaboration with MIT ). He is particularly known for his research on fake news detection, automatic detection of offensive language, and biomedical text mining. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, supported by a Fulbright grant. Dr. PreslavNakovis President of ACL SIGLEX , Secretary of ACL SIGSLAV , and a member of the EACL advisory board. He is also member of the editorial board of a number of journals including Computational Linguistics, TACL , CS&L, NLE , AI Communications, and Frontiers in AI. He authored a Morgan & Claypool book on Semantic Relations between Nominals and two books on computer algorithms. He was the first person to receive the prestigious John AtanasovPresidential Award for achievements in the development of the information society by the President of Bulgaria.

🎤Prof. Liviu P.Dinu(RO) LiviuP. Dinu is professor at University of Bucharest, Computer Science Department, director of Human Language Technologies Research Center, and member of Computer Science and Interdisciplinary Doctoral Schools.He is honorary president of Romanian Linguistics Olympiad „SolomonMarcus”. His main research is in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information processing, etc.Solomon Marcus was his PhD supervisor (obtained in 2003), and in 2014 he defended his habilitation thesisentitled”Similarity and Decision Problems in Computational Linguistics”.In 2007 he received “Grigore C. Moisil” Prize, awarded by the Romanian Academy (for 2005). He has initiated and managed a number of 12 national and internationalR&Dprojects and was involved in other 14 R&D projects.He has also initiatedin 2020 a master program in Natural Language Processing at University of Bucharest, and is the main responsible for all NLP activities from his university.

🎤GülşenEryiğitis an Associate Professor at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Faculty of Computer and Informatics. Her research focus is on Turkish Natural Language Processing (NLP). She is the founding member and the head of the ITU NLP Research Group and the coordinator of the ITU Language Technologies and Social Robotic Laboratory. She is the builder of the ITU Turkish NLP Pipeline ( servicing many academic studies in the field. GülşenEryiğitreceived her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from ITU Computer Engineering Department in 2002 and 2007, respectively. In 2006, she worked as a visiting student researcher at VäxjöUniversity, Sweden where she worked in the first ranked team of CoNLLshared tasks in 2006 and 2007 on multi-lingual dependency parsing. In 2007, she won Siemens Excellence award for her Ph.D. thesis. She acted as a reviewer or co-author of various publications in prestigious journals and conferences. She was Turkey’s representative in CLARIN (EU 7th Framework Programme, CLARIN -Common language resources and technology infrastructure). Recently, she conducted or worked as researcher in many EU (Cost), TÜBİTAK (1001 and 1003) and Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology (Santez) supported projects and served as consultant in 9 TÜBİTAK TEYDEB supported projects. She has also been a reviewer for many research and industrial proposals for European Commission (H2020 and Cost Action Programs), TÜBİTAK, and Turkey’s Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.

(If your antivirus blocking file, pause it or disable it for some time.)
– Choose destination folder

How to Use:
Open destination folder and locate file notes.txt, open it and read step by step.
